John Stetson
CEO & Founder
John Stetson is the Founder and Managing Member of Sunset Bay Capital, LLC, a multi-strategy Private Equity Firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Stetson serves as Chief Executive Officer of PolarityBio, a biotechnology company developing regenerative tissue products, and is the Owner/CEO of Stoner’s Pizza Joint, a 55+ unit national pizza franchisor. In addition, he serves as a Special Advisor and Board Member to several portfolio companies.
He has held Chief Financial Officer and Director positions for two Nasdaq listed companies. As a public company executive, he has been responsible for raising over $250 million in financing. As a financier, he has been a founding investor in several $1+ billion market cap companies and has had multiple successful exits to Private Equity.
He received his BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

James Dudgeon
James Dudgeon joined Sunset Bay Capital as an intern in 2022 and transitioned into a full-time analyst in 2024. At Sunset Bay, James supports the firm’s investment activities by assisting with financial modeling, investment analysis, and deal structuring. In addition, James works closely with portfolio company management teams, assisting with strategic initiatives and value creation efforts across operations, accounting, marketing, and more.
James holds a BS in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from Tulane University. Originally from Australia, he brings a global perspective to problem-solving and financial analysis and is guided by the values of communication, respect, and teamwork.
